HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?
As a multiskills learner at KRT, you will perfect your skills in purpose built workshops, all housed within the Construction Academy. You will have access to specialist indoor and outdoor training bays, a large, purpose built workshop, and study rooms.
‘Area specialisms for specific joinery jobs including doors and roofs, other bays lend themselves to fencing and decking techniques, multi-purpose roofing pods teach a range of methods and groundwork bays teach aggregate, kerbs, block paving and slabbing.
The workshops replicate a live, working environment, providing a real flavour of what life in the industry is like. In addition, a majority of time on the course is spent on “realtime” work experience as this is not only a highly practical course but provides hands on real experiences.
The size of the workshops allow a range of learners to often work together at the same time (covid dependant) meaning all learners get to experience what life in industry would be like, whilst also seeing a variety of work levels.
The course aims to stimulate a real life environment and also provide “on the job” experience that will test and challenge newly developed skills.
