Volunteers are essential to what we do at KRT – So much so we have just won the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service which is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK.

What is Volunteering?

Volunteering involves untertaking unpaid work doing something that is of benefit to young people or the local community.


Volunteering is fun and exciting and offers opportunities to develop your skill base. How much time you give is up to you. We have a variety of roles to suit various skill levels and we will make sure you are properly trained and supported.

What Can I Do?

We have a number of opportunities available for you to come and join us and get involved. We want you to get the most out of volunteering with us and feel supported.


• Help us grow a range of organic and nutritious fruit and vegetables for use in our Community Cafe


• Volunteer in our Community Cafe/Hub (Front of House Barista, Chef, Hospitality Assistant)

• Volunteer at our Community Events – Litter pick, Food Festival, Outdoor Cinema etc

• Join one of our many groups – Walking Football, Tai Chi, Buggy Walks, Dance Classes, Rugby, Boxing, Tennis etc

• Become a MindSpace Volunteer

 •  Volunteer to be part of a team that provides a free gardening service for older vulnerable residents

 • Become a KRT Director

 • Join the Friends of Brookvale Park 

• Become a Trustee of the Friends of Brookvale Park
